SammeVei app enables commuters to share rides, access 2+ lanes and reduce time spent in rush hour traffic by up to 50%.
Drivers enter their destination, set departure time and place (up to 24 hours before the trip starts) and offer rides. Drivers can also offer daily commutes to and from work through trip planner module.
Passengers enter their destination and pick-up point, and see available rides as car icons in map.
Passengers request rides by tapping on relevant car icons in the map view, where information about the driver, destination and starting time will be displayed, and the passenger may press the Request ride button.
Drivers accepts relevant ride requests and follow GPS route to passenger pick-up point.
Drivers press Start trip button when passengers enter the car.
Drivers drop-off passengers at or nearby passenger destination, and press stop trip button when passengers exit the car.
App calculates trip distance based on GPS coordinate of passenger pick-up and drop off points.
Drivers and passengers receive request to rate each other (upcoming feature).
